Sock Hunter Episode 18: Socks With an Agenda

Perhaps the best part about being a sock hunter is the knowledge that no matter how many socks you photograph, there are always new socks to be found. Thus it comes as no surprise when an entirely unbeknownst to you pair of socks wanders into your backyard. The trick becomes spotting, watching, tracking, and then capturing the pair on film.

I’ve found tricky socks, hiding socks, lieing socks, plain socks, fancy socks, short socks, long socks, lacy socks, and cabled socks, but my favorite socks remain socks with purpose. Those socks have an agenda and they are intent upon completing it. There is something about their single minded goal that speaks to my little sock hunting heart. After all, I’m rather intent upon my purpose.

The pair* that wandered into my backyard this morning seemed filled with just the purpose that makes my heart flutter. These socks appeared to headed East. For what, I’m afraid that I can’t divine, but I was pleased to photograph them on their journey.
