Knitter Bunny's™ Dutch Rabbits and Yarns

Bunnies and Yarn, Need I Say More

Great Find

This place. This place was just. I can’t find words. I loved the layout. I adored the airiness. The staff were fantastic. I can’t wait to go back again. I wish I could transplant this store into every city so that others could experience this.

There was so much fabric. And there were quilts. So many goodies to see and explore.

There was yarn. Plates. Candles. Fun stuff. Even this funny game.

ps. It’s this store in Sisters, OR.

Abel Goes Exploring

A little while back, I was looking at embroidery patterns on Etsy for a cute thing to embroider for Mom’s birthday. While looking at all of the patterns I found one called Abel the Stitch Explorer. It was just the cutest little thing.

So, when considering the different categories that I could enter for the county fair I thought, why not embroider something? I immediately bought Abel. 🙂 I’ve been stitching away on the motif and took a few pictures as the pattern started to emerge.

I have also learned several new stitches with this sampler: bullion stitch, fly stitch, feather stitch, and granito stitch. It’s been a good way to practice and I’m making a SUPER cute towel too.

Embroidered Sheep Towel

I don’t stitch much, but on occasion I dig out my embroidery needles and floss and whip up a motif. This little sheep pattern is for sale on Etsy. It had been a while since I stitched, and the first one, while cute, didn’t turn out as well as I wanted.

So, I just up and stitched another one. This one has some things that I like better and some things that I don’t.

I tried two different methods of transferring the pattern on to the towels: graphite pencil and washable ink pen.

Both worked ok, but I think next time I will try the dissolving embroidery stabilizer.

Both of the towels were gifts and well received, so it just proves that mistakes can only be seen by those who make them. lol
