Big News

hoppy feet collage

What did you think I would announce on the blog with that title? Perhaps, my news isn’t that big to some, but it’s HUGE news for me. I’m finishing my first pattern book.

Yes. I have taken the pattern writing very seriously this year, and the result of my hard work is my first pattern book of socks. I hope you’ll take a gander at my work, maybe pre-order an e-book through Ravelry or a print plus e-book through my shop (at a discount of course!), and rejoice with me over the independent publishing journey I am taking.

If you’re looking for kits, we still have most of the months in stock at BlackSheep, so feel free to order your favorite kit and check out all of the photos on Ravelry.

A Year of Socks

So, this is still a knitting blog. It really is. In fact, I even manage to post some knitting once in a while. Like, today. Today I’m posting my photo (though it is a crappy one) of the 12 sock patterns I designed for the BlackSheep Hoppy Feet Sock Club. All 12 socks are now available and you can even order kits (which include an adorable bag) from BlackSheep.

I had so much fun planning and designing for the BlackSheep Hoppy Feet Sock Club. I used different heels, toes, cast-ons, bind-offs, and textures from start to finish. This is a great way to build your skills and explore different socks. Try one or all of them. 🙂

Dyeing Again

I had a little fun with Tina and Grace at BlackSheep last weekend. We decided to play with dye and try out our hand at handpainting some thread for tatting.

After several hours and mixing of bottles, we had quite a collection of fun threads dyed. I’m hoping that this might be the start of a new business venture. Anyone want to try tatting some tencel? 🙂

There Was An Easter Hop

So, I took a few rabbits for the kids to pet.

The thing is, the adults enjoyed it just as much. 🙂

And, really, the rabbits quite enjoyed it too. Nancy has proven herself as a very personable rabbit that likes people. Phoenix (the fluffy one) was borrowed from Shannon and she was already known as a person-lover. Hero went along too and enjoyed his time with people again.

It’s Here!

Today is the first day of the yarn crawl. I’ve scheduled this post as I will be fairly busy showing off all of my patterns at BlackSheep at Orenco. I hope that I see some of my readers there. Wait, do I have readers?

Well, in any case, I hope to see a lot of knitters there.

If you stop by, let me know you read the blog and I’ll give you a cookie. 🙂
