I had a rabbit show in Newport, OR so I took the time to stop and snap a few photos along the coast. This is somewhere close to Newport, I think. I had a lovely time judging the show and really appreciated the easy drive down and back. The little towns along the coast are given over to very touristy things, but I think it would be fun to go be a tourist for a while in Lincoln City and Newport. I see a trip to the coast in my future for sure.
A quick post to say hi and show you a few of our pictures from Seaside.
We ate at Norma’s. Delicious.
We found the tsunami warning signs to be very interesting and this shop paid homage to the tsunami possibilities.
A view from one of the bridges.
And a smidgeon of history.
There was also taffy. Lots of taffy.
For the Fourth of July, we traveled to Rockaway Beach and spent some time with friends.
I’m not a huge fan of the beach. I mean, I just can’t sit there and do nothing for hours on end. And I fell asleep on the beach which resulted in a very lovely red sunburn. My idea of a day at the beach is spending 1 or 2 hours on the beach and then going off to do something else. Then spending another hour or two on the beach. Next time, I’m having it my way.
