Knitter Bunny's™ Dutch Rabbits and Yarns

Bunnies and Yarn, Need I Say More

Fun Class Last Night

I took a fabulous class last night on how to darn my knitting.  I’ve knit a few socks and I had a few that were in need of attention because, you know, they had holes or almost holes.

Turns out it is both simple and magical all at the same time.  And I had help from the other students and instructor to repair most of my socks too!  There are but 6 socks left to darn. 🙂

Lolli and Pops

So. There is a new(er) candy store in the big mall in Tigard. I had so much fun finding chocolates that I might have gone overboard.

The red ribbon is pretty though, really unnecessary from my point of view. I just want to eat the chocolates!

See? Pretty red box. And the punny name. Lolli and Pops.

Now, we’re getting to the good stuff! Chocolates! Ok, there is one marzipan strawberry in there too. I like a little marzipan once in a while.

Plus, this bunny. Yes, I bought the bunny. There was just no walking out of there without the bunny.

Oregon Flock and Fiber

It was last weekend and I should have shared that I would be there!  I was simply swamped and did not share.  That is a bad, Knitter Bunny. I was helping Teresa Ruch with her booth and Tina and I were selling some of my patterns and kits too.

Here are a bunch of my kits! Look at all of my socks. I really need to design some more sock patterns. I like socks and I miss knitting them.

This photo made me laugh when I noticed Teresa’s expression. I think of that one as “you are NOT taking my picture AGAIN, are you?”

Here is the wall of Teresa’s lovely tencel yarn. I arranged the wall and had WAY TOO MUCH FUN touching all of those skeins and making the colors flow.

My Favorite Chocolates

DeBrand‘s Chocolates in Fort Wayne, IN. I love their chocolates. I always make it a priority to visit DeBrand’s when I go home for a visit. I have yet to taste a chocolate that I didn’t like at DeBrand’s. Now that doesn’t mean I like all of their flavors, but I do love all of their chocolate. 🙂

The connoisseur collection is my favorite.  I love the little artisan square chocolates.  The jasmine is one of my favorite flavors, but really it is hard to go wrong with this collection.  I also like their truffles, but I rarely indulge in those as they are a lot of chocolate and difficult to finish in one sitting!

The classic collection contains my favorite single chocolate.  The dark chocolate raspberry is my absolute and utter favorite.  The liqueur and filling are perfect for me.

I’m a big fan of the new tasting bars as well.  The flavors are delicious and who can resist hot chocolate on a stick?  You just melt the chocolate into hot milk.

I love going to DeBrand’s every time I come home.  I always take home chocolate for a souvenir too.

I Am So Amused

By the ducks. I’ve had ducks before. I had some Pekin ducks in high school. Plus a runner duck crossbred my last year of 4-H. Then a Kahki Campbell in college. His name was Boomer. I loved Boomer.

What amused me this time? Tina donated a paddling pool to the ducks. Really, she just wanted it gone, but I don’t think the ducks will know.

It took them a bit to find a way in to the pool. So, I put a cinder block in for a step. The ducks were very excited at all of the water.

It did not take long at all for the ducks to start splashing and going crazy.

Mediterranean Knotted Lace

This is what I have been working on for a few weeks. It is a Mediterranean Knotted Lace motif. In fact, I have another little motif on the needle (as it were) and I’m hoping to finish it soon. For my first pieces, they are all right. If I can just practice this a bit more, I might even have some even stitching.
