Today I’m sharing my Leafy Lisa Shawlette with you. 🙂 It is free on Ravelry until 10pm PST on April 4, 2015. This was a quick and fun knit that I worked on while at Yarn Crawl last month. I even finished it while I was sitting at the shop. I had hoped to have this done before the Crawl, but it didn’t quite make it. That’s ok though. It is done now and I am able to share it with you.
This shawlette was the inspiration of our friend Lisa and the request of my shop-owner friend Tina. She really wanted a crescent shaped shawlette with a leaf that was easy to knit and fairly quick. We chose the lovely Misti Alpaca Chunky which washed and blocked into a lightweight, warm, and lovely shawlette.
This shawl is lightly crescent shaped, knit from side to side across the width, increased using knit 1 front and backs, and decreased using knit 2 together. It is easy enough for a beginner and yet offers enough challenge and interest for more advanced knitters.
This pattern is meant for adventurous novice knitters to experienced knitters and all those in-between. Please read the entire pattern before beginning.
