Whew! I was so glad when this knit finally came off the needles. I love the effect of lace, but sometimes I get so tired of knitting it. I might have finished several socks and mitts while this was on the needles. It’s good to have multiple projects, right? So you can switch back and forth between them and “rest” your hands. Ok. Maybe I just like to have 2 or 3 projects on the go so that when I am tired of knitting one I can switch to another.
In any case, I love the way this shawl has blocked out. I also really liked the effect of the Cascade Alpaca Lace Hanpaints. I used less yarn than called for in the original shawl, however, this one is still huge. I mean, I can wrap this thing around me several times and still have flow.
I’m excited to have a version of this available for the yarn crawl. Hopefully someone else will think it’s beautiful and buy a copy of the pattern.
Yarn: Cascade Yarns Alpaca Lace Paints, River Moss
