Sock Hunter Episode 83: Gems In the Rough

While the weather has been uncharacteristically warm, I have traveled farther than I would under normal circumstances.  My usual route abandoned, I have wandered far from my beaten path into the wilds and woollies of undergrowth and brush.  These roughs yielded no specimens.  Sad and disheartened, I wandered even further from my usual haunts.

With some luck I finally chanced upon a fine specimen.  Settled in the branches of a barberry, the *2Happy socks were tapping toes and heels, swaying to some unknown rhythm. I quickly snapped my photograph before they tapped their way off the bush and toward another.

To my chagrin the socks seemed as content to tap in the bush after my photographs, as before. They even seemed oblivious to my careful retreat as I changed lenses and snapped a few more photos. With a lighter heart, I backed away from the still swaying socks and smiled.

Until next time, this is your Sock Hunter, signing off.
