It is hard to depict the sheer height of the trees in Oregon. They are not just trees, but denizens of a long ago era. Towering so far above you that the only way to truly see the top is to lie beneath the branches and look far far towards the sky. The few pictures that follow simply do not convey the overwhelming beauty of the trees.
And as suddenly as we found ourselves surrounded by the giants of the forest, they were gone. Replaced by hoards of dairy cattle and gently rolling farmland stretching before our eyes.
