Sock Hunter Episode 31: Green Green Grass

We’ve discussed camouflaged socks before on the Sock Hunter. They pose a very different challenge for a sock hunter as they tend to be shy, elusive, and difficult to find. Unlike flashy socks, well camouflaged socks must almost be stumbled upon in order to find them.

Luckily, I stumbled upon a set of lovely *green socks while taking a short urban walk near the State Fairgrounds. This superb example of city socks managing to survive and thrive, stayed perfectly still even with my heavy foot falls within inches of their resting spot. I took my time examining them before snapping a photograph to share. One mustn’t look gift socks in the cuff, after all.

Bumping into these socks was a definite reminder that socks are anywhere and everywhere. Be diligent in your travels, remember to look down, and always carry your camera. You never know what you might find. This is your Sock Hunter, signing off.
