Whew! I’m Back

And so is my laptop. I think I have all of my favorites bookmarked, my software uploaded, my documents restored. Now to get back to work.

I finished a little Malabrigo scarf while my laptop was away. It’s the worsted weight merino in Pagoda. Usually, my inspiration for scarves comes from some design element that I want to include, soft curves, boxes, checks, it all depends. What spoke to me this time were diamonds. After considering several options, I finally decided on the Inverness diamonds pattern from the first Barbara Walker treasury. I think it turned out rather lovely, though it does need a good blocking. The color is off, as it usually is with red.

I also finished a pair of socks for my friend Curtis, but I’m not feeling very inspired right now. I’ll try writing another Sock Hunter episode soon. In the mean time, look for pictures of my stash enhancement from the Loopy Ewe (received several days ago) fairly quickly.
