Last year I made a list of everything that I had made in 2006. It seems strange to look back over the year and see all of the changes that took place. I’m a year farther into my Master’s degree, I’ve paired down the bunny herd, my kittens grew up, found new homes, [...]

Process vs. Product
Posted in 2007 Knits, knitting on December 28, 2007 | 7 Comments »
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about whether I am a process or a product knitter. I promised a friend that I would knit her a shawl for her wedding. The wedding is in June. I bought the yarn in June or July. I started the shawl in October. Then it sat and sat and [...]
It Sure Doesn’t Look Like Much

. . . but, you and I know how much time and effort went into those little packages. I grouped them by family so that I could just hand over a bag instead of digging for the little individual presents. There are four pairs of mitts, two pairs of mittens, one pair of socks, one [...]

This is my last Christmas knitting project. So now, I am completely done knitting for Christmas. This makes me very happy. I am also very pleased with how this hat turned out. If you haven’t tried Ella Rae Amity (75% acrylic, 25% wool) it is a really nice yarn [...]
A Family of Mitts

While reviewing my inventory for Christmas this year, and feeling pretty good about myself, I suddenly realized that I had no gifts for three of my usual recipients. A major stash dive dug up three skeins of Sundara Sock Yarn that I had Sundara dye last year to make socks for Rat Bastard. [...]

I don’t even like mittens. I’ve never been a huge fan of colorwork either, but I love this pattern and these mittens. I’m making them for a 7 year old boy, do you think he’ll like them too? lol
Look at how the stitches line up. Hee. Blue, white, blue, white [...]

What can I say? I like mitts this year. lol I took a break in between the cast on of my second glove and finishing it to make a pair of gloves and a headscarf for one of my Christmas recipients. The yarn is Di’Ve Teseo (55% Wool, 45% Microfiber). I [...]

Would you buy the pattern for these gloves? If you bought the pattern would you prefer step by step instructions for smaller and larger sizes or would you be ok with one size? How many pictures would you like to see (eg. left back, right back, together)?
Oh, so I maybe finished these gloves and [...]
