Way back at the beginning of June I contacted the lovely Shelia of Bosworth spindles and after many emails, finally chose two spindles to be made just for me.
Many weeks, a few vacations, and a little dinero later, I finally have the spindles in my grubby little hands. We all know that I didn’t wait very long to try them. I mean, Sheila herself even tried them out and they had these little tufts of fiber just begging to be spun on their little hooks. Don’t believe me? Here are the spindles with some test fiber.
Bird’s Eye Maple with a birch shaft, 13 grams.
Tasmanian Rose Tiger Myrtle with a cherry shaft, 17 grams. (The true color can be seen in the first picture with both of the spindles.)
Sweet, yes? I’m off to play with my new toys. la la la

Cool! I wish me and spindles got along better–those are beautiful!
Those are so pretty. Have fun with them.
Beautiful spindles! Have fun playing.
I’m really fond of the bird’s eye maple. My Kundert spindle has some.
Beautiful!! The Bosworths are the nicest people (Sheila taught me to spin!) :o)
