Doesn’t this picture just say it all? I placed 7 out of 11 items. How cool is that? Here’s the rundown: 2nd in the Accessories category (socks), 2nd in the Tatted Lace category (bookmark), 3rd in the Shawls and Scarves category (blue shawl), 3rd in the Other Felted Knitting category (daffodils), 4th in the Knitted Lace category (green shawl), Honorable Mention in the Handknit Handspun category (red scarf), and Honorable Mention in the Fine Arts Weaving category (fringed shawl).
The only items I didn’t place were my skeins and, truthfully, they weren’t good enough to place. I have grand plans for most of them though, and next year, oh just wait until next year.
More pictures of my handmade items displayed in the case at the State Fair can be found here.
Tomorrow I shall regale you with tales of woolly wonders. ![]()

Very cool - congratulations!! :o)
Congratulations! I think they are all wonderful and I admire you for having the courage to put your work out there for judging. Maybe I’ll try it next year with the Morgan County Fair here in Martinsville. Our Fall Folliage Festival is coming up in a month or so and they have an arts and crafts show. Maybe I’ll be brave enough for that?
