Queueing is dangerous
July 26, 2007 by knitterbunny
Why is queueing dangerous? When the type of “queueing” you are referring to is the kind where you pick up patterns that you like on Ravelry and add them to your list of items you would like to knit. In my case, most of the patterns are ones that I already own and have plans to make in the next year or so.
The problem is, that I look at that Queue when I open up my Ravelry account and I want to cast on for all of them, NOW! I’ve been focusing so much on getting my projects done for State Fair that I’ve backed off on the number of knitting projects that I have going and now I want to start casting on like crazy.
Cookie A.’s Rhiannon and German Stockings, Miriam’s Eleanora Socks and Seraphim shawl, Adrian Bizillia’s We Call Them Pirates Hat and Mittens, and some patterns that are clunking around in my head. I have all of the patterns linked above. . . in my possession . . . at my house . . . by my chair . . . they’re staring at me.
What’s driving me crazy is the thought that I need simple knitting for while I’m at State Fair; when what I really want to do is knit deliciously difficult patterns. I think I might have a little cry and then make my decisions on what I’m going to take.
