Finished Mountain Peaks
July 19, 2007 by knitterbunny
I finished my Mountain Peaks. I had a few modifications. First I decided to go down two needle sizes to compensate for the yarn. I felt that the yarn in the pattern would look better on a smaller needle (from a US 5 to a US 3).
Then I panicked after I had done my two repeats of the first chart and rethought my plan. I decided to knit the first chart a third time after checking the second and third charts. It would add two border repeats to each edge, but I thought that it would add just enough size to the shawl to make it comfortable with my reduced needle size.
Now, I was chugging along and I finally finished this, only I was still really worried about the size. Unblocked it feel midback and hugh barely over my shoulders; blocked it looks like this, nice eh? I am so pleased with how it turned out. Another State Fair project done.

Beautiful - like you should be running through those fields in slow motion!
I can’t figure out what class the knitting goes into at the State level? I cant find anything in the online PDF that says knitting other than under Professional. What am I missing?
